Spot on! As a leader, once it is made abundantly clear to you that your actions have been reasonably misinterpreted or misunderstood, it behooves you to clarify your intentions. It’s been utterly disappointing to see some pundits rationalize his behavior. How many of them would be comfortable expressing their excitement in such a manner at their child’s piano recital or sports event?
