Talent Development Curriculum Lead - Deposco, ATL
My old friend and colleague, Thomas Eskew, is building out his team at Deposco. They have an impressive organization and are growing rapidly. I have a feeling that this role will be one of many posted in the coming months! If you have 5+ years of experience in this space, this could be a great role for you.
Talent Management Analyst - NBA, NYC
My old classmate and now-colleague, Ari Bernstein, is building out his team at the NBA. They’re searching for an analyst to provide operational support to the Talent Management team, coordinating logistics and delivery of training along with data management and reporting. If you have just a few years experience in the talent management world and are interested in working with an outstanding manager, this may be the job for you.
Note: If you’d like me to feature relevant openings in this monthly newsletter, just message me. There’s no cost associated with this… I just enjoy it! I typically feature roles in the talent/learning/people space, but I’m open to occasionally sharing others. I’m quite proud that readers have filled important roles thanks to this Newsletter!

“How should our post-Covid hybrid-enabled world of work look?” - Said Everyone Ever
The pandemic proved that much more could be accomplished remotely than many thought possible. As organizations continue to define the new normal, many have had to create hybrid and remote work strategies from scratch.
One of my favorite clients – a large, traditional company with a diverse, massive workforce – never had a hybrid workforce. Nearly every employee was on-site (save for a handful of fully-remote positions like IT support and some recruiting roles) until the pandemic struck. Scanning ahead, they quickly realized that many traditionally in-person roles could be accomplished in a hybrid (or fully remote) fashion and more importantly, they would need to accommodate this possibility in order to retain their impressive workforce. They spent months creating their own playbook – ultimately introducing a new category of hybrid-eligible workers and just recently finished the rollout of their new system.
I was so impressed with their approach that I interviewed team members and wrote up a case study… but decided to have fun with it and put it together in an infographic!
Here’s what they did:
So far, the results of their new approach have been very positive. I’ll be eager to follow up with them and report back in a few months time.
How might this work in your organization? What adjustments would you have to make that are unique to your industry, values, operating model, strategic workforce plan, and strategy?

Charlotte sleeps! We introduced a red/green light system in her room and now she stays asleep, or at least in her crib, until the light turns green… which is after 6am! This is amazing! She has been a bundle of cuteness lately and has been particularly hard to be away from all day. I struggled much more than expected on a recent one-night trip to NYC – which is indeed a wonderful thing. She is also in a very funny “mine!” phase… last week, she got mad at other people walking on the sidewalk while we were out for a stroll. “My sidewalk!”
I’m deep into the data collection phase of my dissertation and have been conducting a series of in-depth interviews. It’s been fun! My hope is that I can begin analysis and synthesis by January 2022 and be ready to defend in early summer.
My running retreat company, Endeavorun, continues to grow. I’m excited to announce a formal partnership with 80/20 Endurance that will mark four events on our calendar for the first half of 2022 - including a running retreat in Austin, a triathlon retreat in San Diego, a work-remotely running retreat in Oregon, and a morning-only running + triathlon camp in Martha’s Vineyard. These experiences are designed for recreational adults of all levels so please consider coming!
The 2022 calendar continues to fill up! Please let me know if there are any projects we can work on together and let’s chat.
I’m considering hosting a 1-2 day leadership and professional development academy for mid-career HR/L&D/Talent Management professionals in NYC in early Q1. I may do some polling about this soon… if this interests you, please consider shooting me a quick email and letting me know!
That's it for this edition - please reach out if I can be at all helpful.
Stay safe, get vaccinated! Be compassionate and intentional.
